Next are a few samples of the work I completed while attending Columbia University's Masters of Science in Applied Analytics. They have allowed me to put into practice the technical skills I have learned throughout the period of the program and have also allowed me to showcase the strategic skills I developed from my previous work experience.

Streamlining ABC Foodmart's Operations

The project involved designing the database schema and creating the SQL queries to go through the initial concept of the database to a live data-source that can efficiently and reliably support analytics applications for the local grocery chain.

Information Retrieval System for New York City Taxi Drivers

This project consisted of creating a query system that displays tipping trends and cash versus credit card usage patterns based on boroughs to provide a tool for cab drivers to help them devise business strategies to increase their income and payment method preferences.

This project identified patterns across data collected from all flights departing from New York's JFK, LaGuardia, and New Jersey's Newark Liberty airports to help passengers select which combination of airport and airline can help minimize potential delays in their travels.

Proposal for “Citi Bike Angel Mapper” that Optimizes Routes for Longer Distances and Feature to Plan Ahead

The project involved developing a case study based on a data analytics case and presenting it to a non-technical audience through an interactive story.

The New York Subway System Public Safety and Improvement Metrics

This project consisted of designing a research study and investigating the likely outcomes of a problem our team faced daily. Being a group of students that commutes to class every day in the New York City subway, we decided to investigate the crime rates within the system and ways to reduce them.

Generating “Woof Scores”, Amazon Ads x Columbia Hackathon

This competition, in collaboration with Amazon Ads, had us work in teams to develop a process to evaluate a numeric output from a model that determines the appropriateness of marketing a specific dog food brand to specific features it holds.

Predictive Analysis on Song Ratings Competition, Hosted on Kaggle

This project put our R skills to the test. It involved performing steps of predictive analysis such as exploring and tidying data, fitting competing models, selecting features, and tuning model hyper-parameters, followed by interpreting and presenting the results.

Writing a Plagiarism Detector Using Python

Developed a plagiarism detector using Python that specializes in finding similar Jupyter Notebooks.
