Overview
As a group, we believe that the number of flight delays that travelers are prone to when flying out of New York area airport poses a problem. We decided to undertake data analysis to provide answers on how to avoid disruption when booking a trip. We collected data on all 2021 flights flying out of New York's JFK, LaGuardia Airport, and New Jersey's Newark Airport from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Using R, we cleaned the data to analyze it later using measures of central tendency, time series, and hierarchical clustering. The analysis provided several exciting findings.
