Generating “Woof Scores”, Amazon Ads x Columbia Hackathon

This competition, in collaboration with Amazon Ads, had us work in teams to develop a process to evaluate a numeric output from a model that determines the appropriateness of marketing a specific dog food brand to specific features it holds. While our team did not win the Hackathon, it was an enriching experience in the world of business analytics. 

Overview

As a team, we generated a process to evaluate a numeric output from a model that determines the appropriateness of marketing a specific dog food brand to specific features it holds. ​To meet the competition's goal, we gathered consumer and industry insights to construct a model using the food grading criteria from the American Kennel Club and a numeric score for dog food brands that sell their products through any of the Amazon services.
